iPhoto (Importing RAW files)

It has been brought to my attention that some of you are having trouble importing RAW files into iPhoto. If you are having trouble importing RAW photos into Iphoto, then you most likely have an older version of iPhoto. Before rushing out to purchase the latest version, make sure that you choose the Apple icon (in the top left corner) and then Software Update. If there is an iPhoto update then go ahead and try importing again. If not, then you will need to either get the latest version of iPhoto or use the software that came with your camera. I highly recommend getting the latest version of iPhoto. Your life will be much, much easier. (P.S. There might be a student price.)

If are you on a Windows based machine, don't worry. We will be discussing importing with Windows machines as well in the coming weeks. In the interim, I recommend using the software provided with your camera to import images.

  1. I'm going to invest in the new iphoto package since I was unable to import raw files. I'm looking forward to learning more about the manual settings since so far I've just been using the dial on the camera to use the auto settings.
